The road stretched long in front of our big white truck. We had left the back window open which caused a soft breeze to whisper into the interior space. Road Trips aren’t completed without snacks and good jams.

Three years prior a different road had been taken to La Push Beach, Forks WA. This was the first time I had met Tawny and Hobie. Their romantic relationship was new. They had been friends for over 5 years and fell in love.

Back to the deserts of Washington, we found ourselves friends now and listening to sweet words of encouragement shared between them. They had written vows for each other. Even as the sun beat down on us there was a sweet softness to their exchange. Their gentleness took the breath away from the small group of friends there to celebrate with them.

This Earth, Moon and Star Elopement was truly out of this world. Something unique, different and full of storytelling. The contrast from the alive florals, to the black sun, soft blue and burnt yellow/oranges of the desert speak for themselves. The roads this relationship took to get here and the people the universe brought together in this moment is nothing but beautiful.

Mine, Tawny’s, Hobie’s and their friend’s memory will fade. In the dry canyons, mountains and blue sky of Eastern WA there will always be these memories. These photos will always be there to bring back the color and details we have forgotten.

Congratulations to both your hearts and your future.
